Introducing LomoSchool

Introducing LomoSchool

Yesterday for Film Photography Day, our friends at Lomography Introduced a new service, Lomo School! A new dedicated section to their website to help teach people about photography, film, and some techniques used with the vast Lomography Cameras.

The leading space on the internet for analogue education, The Lomo School is aimed at anyone and everyone with a passion for analogue, whether they’ve never seen a film camera before or are experienced film photographers looking to try some of Lomography’s signature experimental techniques but can’t quite figure out where to start. With answers to the most frequently asked questions from our Community, we want this to be an interactive experience for all so that any questions can be forwarded to school@lomography.com, and we’ll add them to the list!

Presented as an Analogue Education Like Never Before, the new Lomo School aims to teach a new way of looking at the world, according to the press release. Lomography wants to do something out of the ordinary and make a mark on the film photography world. We think that film is forever, so we’re catapulting into a new era of analogue photography. Forget about stuffy classrooms with grey walls, uncomfy desks and chewing gum on the seats; we’ve just launched the most exciting and inspiring school anyone has ever attended. You are hereby cordially invited to attend the Lomography School! We’re launching this dedicated online learning space to make creativity accessible to all for free. No more hard-to-understand descriptions; we’ve put together the answers to our most-frequently-asked questions from our Community, making this the leading space on the Internet to learn all about analogue – from the basic techniques to how to take experimental Lomographs.

It’s not rocket science. This new section of our website is aimed at anyone and everyone with a passion for analogue. Whether they’re someone who’s never touched a film camera before, likes the look of Lomography but has no idea where to start, or an experienced film photographer looking to get more creative. Everyone is welcome at the Lomography School. We’ve provided information about all the exciting experimental techniques that have been inspiring the imagination of Lomographers far and wide over the past 30 years. Users can learn how to shoot mesmerizing multiple exposures, uncover handy tips and tricks like mastering the pinhole, read detailed explanations (that they actually understand) about what the hell pushing and pulling mean, and so much more. If the answer isn’t there, we’ve set up a dedicated mailbox, school@lomography.com so curious students can send in their most burning questions. We want this to be an ever-growing, interactive space, and if anyone has a useful trick to share, we want to hear it! We’re all on this journey of analogue discovery together, and there’s always something new to learn.
